A lady called Marina trying to take care of all these fur babies

We have 9 cats and 7 dogs in Kharkiv region and a lady called Marina trying to take care of all these fur babies. She had only two of her own cats before, but when the war started in Ukraine, pets lost their homes and owners were killed by Russians.

Ms. Marina picked up all of them from ruins and streets and brought them to her own house. Now they are family.

It’s cold there already, they have no gas, so we are planning to buy a truck with wood 🪵 for her so that they can stay warm all winter.

Of course they need support with food too.

You can join us and help them, they are grateful for every little thing.

As you know Marina was a kind soul who took care of 16 cats and dogs. Our team wanted to make sure that her beloved pets would be well taken care of.

We learned the news that Marina passed away on January 4, and immediately got to work.

In just a few days our team, working under huge pressure and stress, was trying to find homes, transportation to organize and arrange everything.

Thank you Алексей Войтенко! He drove 800km to bring several pets to Kriviy Rig, to an amazing organization Rukavicka that took them in, and they will make sure they are checked, vaccinated, and sterilized, and will go to good homes. He did an amazing job with getting them caught and transported!

They were ready to take in 6 cats and 5 dogs, however, Marina’s neighbor Sergey asked to keep 2 dogs for the protection of the house.

Unfortunately, when Aleksey showed up ready to pick them all up, some animals were not there, and he could not take all the pets that we discussed. That was really upsetting as he needed to make a long road trip which was not safe during the war times, and also expensive. Regretfully, he was only able to transport 4 cats and 1 dog, which are already with nice caring people. They were a little scared from the adventure, but they will be ok soon!

Many thanks to Marianna Borukaeva who helped us with a donation for fuel!

Huge Thank you Юлия Федорчук for finding the amazing shelter in Krivyj Rig!

Thank you Olga Kolikova and Elena EK , thanks everyone for your team work! This was made possible by the amazing caring people that put in the maximum effort into this operation!

Our Team was able to rescue most of Marina’s beloved furry children.

We were arrange transportation to get a few to a very nice family shelter in Krivy Rig.

Two dogs were rescued a little later by the local animal volunteers.

When they arrived to rescue two dogs, to their surprise they came back with 6, because one of the dogs just had delivered four babies. All of them were loved and taken care of but unfortunately two puppies didn't make it due to some birth condition. They received doctor's care but due to the lack of equipment and good veterinarians (because of the war), unfortunately were not able to save them.

Also the volunteers tried to capture the other two dogs and a cat, however, they were not able to find them. We don't know the fate of these three kids.

Our mission to save Marina's furry children is complete to the best of our abilities and the abilities of local volunteers.

Many Thanks to everyone who helped us with transportation, capturing, care, and donations.
